This position is eligible for NHSC (National Health Service Corp) student loan repayment program up to $75,000.00, paid CEUs, paid license renewal and paid malpractice insurance and renewal.  


Position Overview

The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for leading a dedicated team of licensed Clinicians, Office Manager and partnering with  the Medical Director to ensure support of our Professional Team of front line care providers.  This position offer the opportunity to mentor Sound Community's clinical staff.  General operations of the outpatient program may include policy & procedure, employee relations, training and development, finance and budgeting, legal/risk management, customer service/service excellence, billing and central business office functions, quality, safety, and information systems. 


**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Leadership and Management:**

  •    Provide visionary leadership to outpatient service teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  •    Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate outpatient clinical and administrative staff to ensure optimal performance and professional development.

2. **Program Development and Oversight:**

  •    Develop, implement, and evaluate outpatient service programs to meet the needs of the community and align with organizational goals.
  •    Monitor and analyze service utilization, patient flow, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.

3. **Quality Assurance and Compliance:**

  •     Ensure outpatient services are compliant with all regulatory requirements and quality standards set by governing bodies.
  •    Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

4. **Financial Management:**

  •    Develop and manage the outpatient services budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient resource allocation.
  •    Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to drive operational and fiscal performance.

5. **Patient Experience:**

  •    Enhance patient experience by developing strategies that prioritize patient-centered care and effective communication.
  •    Address patient concerns and feedback to improve service quality and satisfaction.

6. **Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:**

  •    Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative leadership to ensure cohesive service delivery.
  •    Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, insurers, and referral sources.

7. **Strategic Planning:**

  •    Participate in the development of organizational strategies that promote the growth and success of outpatient services.
  •    Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure competitive services.

**Qualifications**

  • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field required
  • State of CT LCSW/LPC licensure required
  • A minimum of one (1) year of management experience in a behavioral health or medical setting required
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct all aspects of clinic operations including administrative support, QI processes, understanding of billing functions, and providing clinical supervision
  • Must demonstrate significant skill in attention to detail, organization, and establishing and maintaining processes and workflows
  • Competent user of technology including electronic medical records, experience with meaningful use standards preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certified or eligible
